Upon arriving at Domaine De Blangy, located in the serene Hirson, my partner and I were greeted with a warm welcome from the reception staff after a chilly motorcycle ride through April rain. Despite a small hiccup with our chalet allocation, the swift and friendly service ensured we settled into a comfortable and well-equipped accommodation, complete with a fully equipped private bathroom and free WiFi, ideal for unwinding after our journey.The modern and spacious chalet boasted a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for a romantic escape, where we enjoyed serene garden and lake views from the terrace. The peaceful location, surrounded by a magnificent forest with onsite activities like archery and ecotours, provided a tranquil retreat.Each morning we indulged in a delightful continental breakfast, ensuring we were fueled for the day ahead exploring the cultural highlights nearby, such as the Museum of Textiles and Social Life. The option to enjoy breakfast in the outdoor dining area overlooking the garden made for a picturesque start to our day in this rural oasis.The attentive staff, fluent in English, enhanced our experience, offering recommendations for nearby attractions like the Museum of Thierache. The close proximity to the Charleroi Airport, just 90 km away, made our travels convenient, while the charming city of Reims, also 95 km from the hotel.In conclusion, Domaine De Blangy offered a peaceful haven with modern amenities, making it an ideal choice for a romantic or quiet getaway.
